Rachel has been a keen writer all her life, turning her flexible hands to many styles of writing over the years,
and is disciplined enough to keep a daily diary, despite finding it a complete chore.
She graduated with a degree in Journalism and was commissioned as a technical writer for The Times of London. Needing a
greater challenge she cross-trained into web design and then moved to Windows development. Not a bad move for someone
who spent her earlier years believing that computers were only really useful for gaming.
"I became interested in development about ten years ago with the explosion of the internet. I find whether I am writing code
or writing an article, I can totally lose myself and time - I love being in that development zone! There's no other place I'd
rather be."
As a developer for Norb Technologies, it seemed appropriate that she was given the role of SQL Server Club Editor,
with her skills crossing both technical and writing camps. |
