Hello and thanks for taking the time to read my profile.

I started my career in 1997 as a web developer before discovering the joys of using SQL Server. I loved writing T-SQL so much, I decided to learn more about SQL Server internals and studied for the Microsoft MCPs. By this point .NET was well established and I moved into software development and loved it with a passion!

These days I'm a web and database developer and have since found a new love in SSIS. I'm also a founding member and organiser for the SQL Server Club User Group South West (UK).

I'm a keen member of DotNetDevNet and a volunteer for the SQLBits and DDDSouthwest community events. I'm proud to have been an attendee at the recent Speaker Training event at Microsoft's Reading campus, organised by some of the UK's best technical speakers.

Life outside of Visual Studio/SSMS/BOL revolves around my mountain bike and my iPod, coffee, beer and bird-watching.
